    MFTS Plug

Changed my MFTS this morning and when I tried to connect the wiring plug to it the plug started to fall to pieces. Are these plugs available new from anywhere so I can replace it?

    Cheers

Pete doesn't stock them so it's off to TPS I go. Thanks for the part number, should help when I'm standing at the parts desk.

        Cheers

I know you have the PN already, but if you click on the MFTS label on the right side of this live Engine Bay Device Map (link below), you will find lots of info, including the PN for a new plug and the pin-outs for the 3B, ABY, ADU and AAN:

Thanks for that. Came in very handy when the old plug disintegrated as I pulled out the old connectors.

MFTS and plug now all connected up and no more low coolant warning so a good result all round. Temperature gauge seems to read a bit higher now nudging up towards 100C but the fan cuts in and out properly so I guess it's just a slightly different output from the new MFTS. I'll monitor the coolant level and temp gauge the next few times I'm out in the car and see how things settle down.

            Cheers

If your new sensor is a Behr unit or similar they do read higher then OEM

I wonder if it's possible to adjust this with a resistor

Yes, it's a BEHR one from Quattro Corner.

                  Cheers
