Turbobandit are chinese turbos with some quality control.
Mapped a few, I also know who runs the operation.

Basically you get what you pay for. It is not as efficient as a big brand turbo, then again it also does not have the price tag. I've not heard of reliability issues (that is where the QC comes in)...

TB70 is very different than TB60 you wanted. It is also not anything great, but yeah it works. But for the price, there´s better turbos, that cost as much.

Ask him, he has been running TB60 turbo. Theres also a dyno graph.

I don´t know if this really is a garrett...maybe a chinese copy. That shoul be something like a Garrett 3876, never heard of something like that. And the 0,48 is too small.

The maps are bul**hit. If the maps are real- the turbos are bul**hit. Stay away from these backyard-tuners or "-brands", stay with wellknown ones. They are worth the money.

Well not many ppl have used those turbos, so no idea how you can get any info about them. And by looking at the compressor map of the tb60, it is bad. It does not spool fast and it is not effiently making 500 hp. Lets say you need 2 bar to reach 500hp, this compressor map isn´t even showing that much pressure. what do you want to achieve? If you feel like you need to experiment with something new, try Masterpower.eu turbo, or if you got anyone who can match turbine housing get a BW s200sxe.

Doesn´t look very efficient for anything higher than 1.2 bar. Compressor map is quite bad.

I'm going to use 7A cams in stock timing marks so not much overlap. Other wise I would use stock AAN cams but I don't have any. This is a budget build anyways, trying to make it fun to drive on street and winter time, easier to drive if it spools early and have good responce. The transmission is a 01A so it wouldn't handle too much power >500hp.

My other UrS project is then a totally different, trying to make it without much limitations...

450 EUR is a good price. You can always sell it for the same money. I would try 500 crank with E85.

But in my opinion going with a very small AR housing is always quite a big trade off. Backpressure is quite nasty. You get lots higher EGT, lots more chance for detonation, if you got cams with big overlap, there is just too much burnt gasses in cylinder, less oxygen makes less power. Dosen´t sound right. If I would go small housing and big hp. Only way I would do it is with E85, and adjustable cams, cause overlap with high back pressure is bad. Anyways those are my thoughts and I´m no expert. For 500-600 hp cheap, I would go with Holset HE341. Hard to find but they can be found for not much money. If anyone has one for sale, I´m interested.

If you guys want big power and fast spool, try Borg Warner SXE turbos. Maybe can find a open t3 housing for them. If there is something that will fit. I would never consider any Garrett or Holset, IF buying new, and going for 400+.
I have no idea, but I suspect it will not do 600 on a I5, 500 would be great though. You are propably right about the backpressure. This is custom made by a finnish motorsport team, so it may have some potentional..? This is a never used geniune Garrett for only 450e so I will try it out.
