3b timing belt diamond washer or no diamond washer?
3b timing belt diamond washer or no diamond washer?
I have just found my car hasn't got a diamond washer fitted between the belt toothed pulley and the vibration damper. Should it have?
also I fitted a billet pulley. My god it's a tight fit on the crank nose. Is that right? Anyone else experienced this?
I'm hoping that is just for the ABY as I do not recall my mechanic saying anything about that when mine was done earlier in the year. If it is the case, it needs to go back. Will be paying attention to this thread.
I also found my billet pulley to be a very tight fit on the crank nose, I de-burred the back edge of/and centre of it with a fine file and some emery cloth and it's now a perfect fit. I'd rather have to do that than it be loose.
I have been wondering if it was worth attempting to retro fit this to a 3B. The TDI one is a thin sliver compared to the the others. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Crankshaft...ht_1862wt_1199
Not sure what if any preperation would be necessary for a washer thats 0.13mm thick!
