scored cylinder #3 Nick but had been with that for 150,000kms no issues.
I have another AAN in my car since 2014.the current one also has oil surge issues.
the compression readings 170psi across 5 pots.I'm hoping to to send my spare rocker cover to machine shop on tomorrow and has her drilled as yours(25mm pipe)

If the cylinder shown on page #2 of this thread is the one in question; This is the source of your blowby. Even though the compression readings are within specification you will never have a good enough ring seal to keep combustion gasses from going past the rings in to the crankcase.

        Chris,
yes more or less i believe thise scored cylinder will do
something on the blowby but what i have on the car
is another aan which i recently pulled the head off
for HG job.i investigated the cylinder walls and nothing
fancy on them.all is fine but the problem is still exist
on both AANs is the oil surge.they do the same thing.
i'm going to send my rocker cover to machine shop on
tomorrow and see how's the outcome.if i drive it ordinary
give it some boost, linear on gas pedal not jumping
out from standstill, redline shifting.the oil separator
        is 100% dry.

Put a pressure gauge on the dipstick tube and check pressure. With a long hose and the Guage where you can see it while driving.

Anyone know what healthy crankcase pressure should be?

So, the Febi breather cap won't fit with the AAN/ANY/ADU can cover, as it's too large a diameter It's a bit of a heffer allover tbh, so I think a custom one is were it's at.

At the moment i run a Steel T section with 30mm 12mm and 25mm outlets. This connects 30mm to the block breather, 12mm straight up to the head breather and the 25mm bit winds its way around the bay and into the offside wing where its just to atmosphere at the moment but does normally go into the MAF hose. There is a little bit of mayo that has dripped out but not much, i recon a similar setup will channel the head oill straight back to the block and also allow the block to breath. New engine build will run a similar setup but i think i will turn the PCV head tube into a breather as well.

Rusty- Thats a pain on the vw cap, thanks for checking for the forum

                  Kibby-Who made yours?

Martin-I ran the same setup as you (but into a catch tank that did not really collect anything, fine for normal road use, RS2 spec on track just chucked oil out.

The filler cap came with the engine I purchased for my project so I have no idea who made it and modified the cam cover
