Does the Garrett need a restrictor on the i5?

It does yes. You can get SS braided line + fittings from BAT Mocal Inc. (assuming you have a division of Mocal in the UK that makes the lines).
That being said , I drilled and tapped the oil filter housing for an M12 x 1.5 thread and used SS M12 x 1.5 to 4-AN fittings then just ran a 24" long 4-AN line.
45* on one end and 90* on the other.

I got the SS Garrett restrictor from ebay.co.uk when 034 copper restrictor stripped the threads.

yes,garret ballbearing turbo's need a restrictor
i have put an 0.9 mm restrictor in the oilfeed line,bought it from german ebay

Well mine is fitted with the line kit that came from 034 so I will have to have a look what's in there. I need to use the car at the mo but I will try and take some measurements.
