    Turbine size

Anybody have an idea what this turbine is off

    Turbine wheel
    Large diameter 64mm
    Small diameter 54mm
    Wheel width 24mm
Flat section across the top of the wheel is 10mm wide

When fitted to a K26 Turbine housing and then to the rest of an RS2 what performance do you think it would produce compared to a standard RS2 turbo.

Should I just hold out to get the right hot side housing. (original RS2)

Seems to be normal K26. Exducer is 64,4mm, inducer is 54,1mm. Don“t know the 2 other measures, but this turbine wheel is very wide spread, so very probably it is.

Fit to RS2 comp side will give a turbo with similiar peak power to normal RS2 turbo, but more lag.

      Thanks Quattronaut

Do you think it would be better to use an RS2 Turbine housing? I have the turbine wheel. I am having a problem finding a replacement RS2 housing.

      Any idea how much lag?

I would prefer the stock RS2 hotside. It is good for 400hp and more, and gives a pretty quick throttle response.I don“t really know how much more lag it is, cause it depends on the rest of the setup, but I estimate boost to be around 200-300rpm later. And spool-up, the throttle response itself is slower.

To be honest- I dont really like that K26 wheel. Because the RS2 K24 K2 is better. So for me, there is no reason for the K26 K1, unles you will go for more than 420hp, and use the 8"hotside housing. But everyone uses those K26 with the 6housing...don“t know why. But if you can“t find a RS2 housing, you don“t have much choice ;-)

Why do you need RS2 housing, do you have a RS2 turbine wheel?

Just for interest sake this is the reply from

                    richard@turboexchange.co.za

The Borg Warner supplier in South Africa.

UNFORTUNATELY THE FACTORY DOES NOT SUPPLY THE HOUSING LOOSE
THE ONLY ALTERNATIVE IS TO GET A PRICE ON THE COMPLTE TURBO
