I googled the number on the cover (which may not be original to rest of ECU) and it came back as a URS4 ECU.

I can confirm it has a 300kpa map sensor in it.
The chips were defo aftermarket and on platforms.

The history im finding on this car is getting more interesting as time goes on. Well, much better than the average LHD ringer from Bosnia I usually end up with.

      Can you post pics?
Certaintly MTM had a 380 conversion but that used a K27/26. They also usually mounted 1 chip on an encyption board. The ecu would have had an MTM label and again it was Kim Collins not Dialynx that was the MTM agent.
In fact I seem to remember that Superchips also used encyption boards.
Is there evidence that the wastegate has been tampered with. Is the seal intact in the top of the wastegate cap?

The waste gate has been messed with in the past, the tamper cap is now black sealant - not factory.

no MTM label or anything to suggest MTM.

I will post a pic shortly, there were no clues in my opinion. Some tuners wrote every detail on them but these are not giving much away..

Just for interest this car was owned new by Scots and was their demo car, I assume for the N300 conversion. It was converted at factory in Germany when new.
        They had it 4 years.
It had a couple of owners and Richard hill purchased it and had Dialynx Tune it in 2003.
There is a lot of history with it including the Nothelle Dyno where its piched against and RS2 - it was making a LOT more torque then than it is now.

We are probably beating around the bush. Ultimately its the sw that controls boost and you are not making the level of boost to get you into the high 300's. I guess its going to be better to source known good sw.
I would suggest removing the wastegate cap carefully to see what spring its on. Again pics/measurements will aid identification.

Personally I'd do a thorough leak/health test, I bet you find a couple of tiny leaks, pull the codes on VAGCOM and if all seems well, then stick it on the rollers again, if the previous run was 10% out (not unlikely) then that would account for the low BHP figure.

I've ran a Nothelle hybrid and an RS2 unit back to back and sure as shlt the RS2 has way more torque capability, the Nothelle unit spools quicker and may give a little more torque at the bottom end of the rev range but the RS2 unit is superior in every way.

If you have RS2 injectors fitted it's unlikely the car is still running Nothelle software, which would explain the remap in 2003.

I have an MTM K26/7 conversion on my RS2, with what I suspect to be the 0.6 56mm exit hotside and it I love the set up, runs 1.5 bar peak boost and goes better then a stock one on stock software.

I don't recognise the chips, however the motor chips is fitted to a daughter board as per MTM set ups.

Be interesting to see if you can get any info out of Dialynx.

I have done 2 leak tests - perfect, and its in good health.

I should mention, I only know a bit about S2s - hence begging for help... But I tune classic turbo Porsche's often for my job and build engines, i am familiar enough to recognise obvious problems with the S2. I am waiting for a friend to return my vagcom and I will check for faults.
At the moment im suspecting a bad fuel pump or lamda sensor.

I will check the WG spring tomorrow.

Ok! That chip with NNUN4 (Fuel/Ign chip) looks awfully like a Superchip. Its not the usual OE eprom which is erasable. If you are feeling brave, remove the whole assembly and look underneath the board. You might find a Superchip label.
The other chip looks like a OE boost chip but why they have encypted it I am not sure. Not even MTM did that.

Now Superchip also used to bodge the boost control system with stiffer springs and Wastegate frequency valves bypass/ bleed valves etc. So pay attention to those and see if there is anything that shouldn't be there. We know already that someone has fiddled with the wastegate.
I don't beleieve that anything other than the std spring/Wgfv is necessary to get the power you need and the factory system is a good failsafe.

The 1267XXXXXXX numbers on the chips are the ID of the OE eproms which are usually covered with a silver label.

All very good advice there. There's not much 'super' about Superchips so if that's what's in there you want to get shot ASAP, their set up for S2's/RS2's amounts to bodgery IMO.

It's worth noting that the waste-gate on my (ex)Nothelle 3B had a tension adjuster bolt added by BRM as part of the conversion. Like your car the only thing left is the mildly ported head.

Yeh, im not a fan of superchips.

The Turbo has got a bit smoky this week, so i'm going to get it rebuild this week.
The fuel pump is noisy, so I am going to fit a Walbro later.

I have never heard anything good about superchips, so just to be sure I will get some generic forum chips.

My WG may have had an adjustment in it as some point - before the "tiger seal" was applied.

You can see it in this pic-
