      Ta mate

I've got a day book on the track, so if it's running OK by then, I'll get that out the way first, just in case... if not, then first thing!

For what it's worth mine had this issue when warm top of the gears full hard cut like thru the windscreen as said - also a cow sound on acceleration .- this was a split DV seal and I replaced the MAF with a brand new gen bosch and no miss cuts nothing. Best it's ran .

So, I did some investigation on Thursday night and found that the hose running to the wastegate was a little tatty where the clip holds it, so cut it back and re-fitted - I doubt it was leaking but still.

I also pulled all spark plugs and checked the colour - grey - and then re-torqued to 20 ftlbs. Cylinder 3 wasn't as tight as it should have been when I undid it, so this won't have been doing me any favours.

I cleaned my embarrassingly filthy K&N filter and refitted the MAF mesh on the inlet side, as this is how it should be...

I fitted my adjustable WG cap and backed it off 2 turns, to lower the spring boost just a little (stock spring) and give myself a starting point - worst case is that I get a boost pressure not reached error, I guess.

Final effort was to clean up the MAF male connectors when the top of the airbox was off.

All back together and did some 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th gear WOT runs today with no odd behaviour or cut. I checked the codes but I think I forgot to clear them yesterday, so I'll just have to go and do some more testing.

Overall result was that the car ran smoother than it has for a while and there was no cut at the top of 3rd or through 4th. There's still the odd boost behaviour coming on boost from low revs but I'll try some stock RS2 chips at some point to see if that's just mapping. Overall, not a bad afternoon's work I feel

Cleaned the MAF connector and applied some Deoxit then took it for a run. Holds 1.8 bar flat in 5th with the brakes on and felt strong through the gears. Fingers crossed that these small tweaks have nade a difference.
