My temp guage is barely creeping over 55'c. Fan kicks in etc and heater warm but gauge not climbing. I would like to put it right for when my dials come back.
Is there an easy mod to adapt or use 3 pin newer version on my aby s2? 3 pin mfts are cheap and readily available. Such as ebay item 181652396025
Quattro Corner one is behr I think. Yes plug and play. There's a good chance the connector will fall apart in your hand when you remove it, these are available from Audi.

Yes, sorry forgot to mention this. Well worth doing. All of us should do this especially when you see and hold a new one beside an 18 year old one.
New stat on hEr but have contacted guy and he sending me a priven one. Its odd sometimes uphills or bends or even bumbs it sorts itself out but then back to low. Also rpm guage is dropping to bearly zero but i have non s2 clocks in at moment as my dials are knackered. My temp previously slightly high and would fluctuate. Fan kicks in a lOt. I have aux rad deleted but cant see that doing much difference in this weather. I have nissens non aux rad on too which is slightly smaller but i cant see that effecting so much. I want a steady 87'c so i know shes at her best efficiency and ecu is not in warm up mode etc
Do you still have the little rubber boot around the MFTS & connector? If you don't and have removed the aux radiator then cool air passing over it could be affecting the readings you're seeing...
