It seems to have the oil squirters so why not? Can't imagine a difference between AAB and the turbo diesel blocks.

yea! BUT: THE AAB block are only 79,5 bore... 2,5dti are 81mm bore.but the cranck are 95,5 like the AAT 2,5tdi verson;BUT the cranck havent the same P/N....I havent checked out the deckheigth,i think its the same as 2,5tdi...236mm. i have NOT checked out the sylinder THICKNES,may it be thicker than the 2,5tdi.dont know that. i have sutch a engine, i will tell the forum later on about the AAB 2,4 diesel....

Isn't it just better that it's smaller bore so that it can be bored to factory spec for 81mm pistons? This way it's "new" to start with. I'm almost 100% sure that the cast is the same.
