Testing the G69 Throttle Position Potentiometer:

Across Pins 1 and 2 on the switch:
Must be 1500 to 2600 ohms I got 1975 ohms, so okay

Across Pins 2 and 3 on the switch:
    Throttle closed = 750 to 1300 ohms I got 1019 ohms
As throttle is opened from closed to WOT = increase to 3600 ohms
If NO, replace sensor. I got 2670 ohms at WOT. Exactly the same as you got. This is very common. I am starting to think that the 3600 ohms is a typo.

I can confirm I have similar POT resistance readings as this post on the multimeter functional well behaved 1999 V6 AAH Auto. I too found the 3600 ohms WOT in the manual and initially thought I had found a problem with mine being ~2500Ohms. It might be that the 3600 is indeed correct when the POT is detached from the TB, and when mounted on the TB, the full travel limit is not realised, or not documented correctly.

In my case I was troubleshooting gearshift behaviour, as on late V6 autos with 01N trans, this input is also used by the TCM for "dynamic" shift mapping.

I would assume that even on ECU's this old, some variation in POT behaviour is expected through manufacturing/POT alignment, and the ECU maps 0-100% idle-WOT pedal vs POT resistance specific to the installation, whether this is dynamic or through Throttle Body Alignment / "Basic Settings" I am not sure.

noteworthy is that the POT until itself is angle adjustable to the Throttle Body via the mount bolts, so manual adjustment is possible.
