    Viscous fan bearing

Hi guys. As per title, bearing on viscous fan isn't in a great shape so I'd like to change that. I can only find bearing with a bracket, but I assume that bearing can be pressed out and replaced, without buying the bracket?

Anyone know sizes or PN for that bearing?

You wish. I think you can get the bearing (and housing) separately from the shaft but don't quote me:

The old style bearing (Item 25 = PN 077115136A ) (on the left) and shaft (Item 26)(on the right) look like this:

The first Item 25 is the bearing assembly which goes with the Item 26 Flange shaft. The second Item 25 (highlighted by the box) is the bearing and the shaft as one unit.

UrS4boy's link to : http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/33332.phtml has valuable info,
      but,
seems impossible to remove the viscous fan clutch,
      found this : https://www.audiworld.com/forums/audi-original-s-cars-25/how-do-i-remove-viscous-fan-clutch-mount-seems-impossible-2163218/
the thread's pictures is "of course" not available anymore but the use of a 'pin fork wrench' is mentioned.
I've tried using a 'pin fork wrench' from an angle grinder but with no luck

Anyone here been there, done this ?

I hate removing the clutch so much I won't be putting it back on. I usually leave aux belt on, and use tension from that, then put on a spanner and smash it with a hammer and generally works.

ok, thnx, but the generator/AC bracket isn't in the car so I can't use that option ... :/
