I may be just thinking out loud but is there not a diagram on the bonnet nr the N/S mirror? I may be thinking of a different Audi but i know one of mine
had one there!
Money is everything! Second to Power of course!!! But money breeds power??
I think I have it all figured out thought to be honest.
But if you don't mind paul it would be appreciated, I never saw the other posts, but I will look for it.
The lines I have in questions.
There is one for the AC, but since I elimated it, i am going to just plug it.
The vavle for AC on a 7a and 3b motor is inside the engine bay, and it's in the dash on the aby models. So I was confused on that thought.
There is another line that runs to the Diff locks (haven't confirmed but it's a white plastic line I believe)
There is the boost line. (Green plastic line, I have this figured out, simple enough)
Once I realized the AC parts were different it got alot simpler.
Cheers
Josh
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?
3B is not the same. From what I can work out from the diagram it is similar, but one immediate difference is the 3B has three hoses in that area. One goes to the bottom of the DV.
Sweet In the process of planning my 7A -> ABY conversion, could'nt for the life of me figure out what that white plastic bit was for, its a moisture trap then
Any diagrams for the carbon canister and check valves? 7A has two valves where as the ABY seems to have one, i also need to know where it is plumbed in

The 3B vacuum is very similar of course - but not identical to the ABY. Most notable difference is that the control pipe for the TBV comes from rear of the IM - with a hilariously long run of pipe over the EM before it finally gets down to the TBV.
Will post the 3B diagram (two years old now) later today...
As for carbon canisters - I'll cover that separately. Could probably justify an update on S2central.net for this info - then it will be SO much easier to find again.
From memory of the EVAP system, the carbon canister has two connections - one accepting fumes IN from the tank, and another taking them OUT via the N80 solenoid which allows them into the IM on vacuum.
I'm doing similar 7A to ABY conversion and have yet to see a proper diagram of the vacuum routing as it pertains to the Evaporative Purge Valve and related Crankcase Ventilation. I can mod for catch can later once I know what the stock system looks like.
A picture of this would be great - the theoretical diagrams just don't show how the factory hookups are made. I'm trying to make this as factory as possible, then deviate if need be.
