Ok. You can use the lambda compensation as a referens for what you want to do.
Set up the lambda tabell that you want. And correct the VE tabell after the lambda correction precentage.
Is one way to do it.

The people that is very deep into this stuff dont need autotune.

autotune is nice on N/A engines when you are working with itb's or something set the dyno at fixed rpm, slowly press throttle, get all set automaticaly, then next rpm range saves some time

that's your personal view both types of injector settings works good

I never used tune by statistics or auto tune. Just lots of logs while driving the car. Then on boost runs safe fuel and spark angle while listening for knock.

Once I get more time I'll start using the knock sensing from vems

Nope. I recently updated to be able to use it. I have only read the basics to calibrate but haven't done anything yet. Too much of everything else going on and not much time left

Yesterday I finished calibrating knock control in my VEMS... needed a little bit time to get the right settings but now I seems to work fine...

I am sorry, but if one spends hours and hours of research, kilometers of testing, fuel, time and many discussions with the VEMS engineers and some other tuners... who would simply post the results in the web?

"to serious" - nope it has always to be done serious

but you are right, if one gets trough it and understands how it works its quite simple in VEMS... but a serious knock control is never a simple thing...

as hint: VEMS has released a helpful documentation about knock control also MoTec...

I'm not talking about the single knock control - there were many other functions I tested with VEMS this year and this brought out some hidden issues that needed the development of new firmware versions to solve... but the VEMS developers where always fast and friendly
