i run Supertech inconel exhaust and nitrided SS in the AWD car (small port head, solid lifter, +1mm). ~1100 BHP, hand ported small port. 9500+ rpm regularly, 12,011 rpm once accidentally without damage.

in the new motor (RWD tube chassis), Ferrea Super-Alloy and Comp Plus intakes, solid lifter, +1mm. untested yet, large port CNC ported. will run 9500 - 10,000 rpm.

Not mine, my friends. Also did a hole in the piston.

Ooh crap, forgot about that. Seems that I can't edit the poll. Maybe some moderator can add "Inconel valves" on the list..?

Don't use used valves, as stated I found out this the hard way!! I went with new Audi valves in the end, but if I were doing it again I'd probabley use these

I still use stock ABY valves and upgraded springs on my setup. Running 8000rpm revlimit and 2.3bar boost.

But when i get my head ported i will upgrade the valves so i'm sure they won't brake.

OEM is true, but costs a damn fortune. :/

I'm thinking about TRW 33125 & 33050. Anyone used TRW engine stuff before?

With oem kit you run the risk of the head falling off the stem as they are friction welded.

At what power/torque/rpm is this risk possible?

It can happen on stock cars.

To be fair how many stock 20vt motors drop valves? Never heard of a single instance. Asking a 25yr old valve that's probably done minimum 150k miles to take the heat and revs of a modified engine is what can cause a failure - fatigue. On a road car OEM valves are the still the best option IMHO.
