If I have to be honest I hit rev limiter very often (almost every time I change gear). The car is near 750 crank hp. I dont check for tightness. I tight bolts with torque wrench.

I have read in forum that a bracket can be welded under cam gear and sensor can be positioned there. If I use an AAN cam gear what other things I have to change?
Do I have to change water pump, oil pump, belt and tensioner?
How often do you hit the rev limiter? How often do you check the cam cap nuts for tightness?

i made a template to get the proper location of the bracket (the sensor will bolt onto this, just like with the OEM) copying an aan head

then, i welded the bracket (was made by JP on this forum)

    came out perfect:

No proble welding the bracket ( have done it on many 7a heads ) , but there is also possibel to drill a hole and make threads and make a qucik bracket , cant find the picture of the easy solution

Ok, I did remember wrong, but anyway welding it wouldn't be so smart.

You remember wrong. The bracket is something cast (aluminum or ??). From your photo, I couldn't tell that the bracket was a separate piece. On closer inspection, I can *just* see the separate bracket.

Sorry. Seems dodgy to me. And what happens when the actual sender portion fails and needs replacement? Seems like a lot of future "fun"

Early AAN's had "Tuna can" dizzy (only for the G40, no spark plug wires). The gears are different than the 3B.

Here is the end of the AAN intake cam (in the right hand photo, the left hand photo is a 3B) showing the gear driving this Cam Sensor in a can:

Usually? It has to be done with some precision.

    This is the factory's solution:

This is "rune" aka "Bruno"'s solution (from Norway):

AAN G40 Camshaft position (Hall effects) sender mounting transitions

    Welding? Not going to happen.

    Have a read on this:
