If the hazard flashes when you lock the drivers door with a key, I think it has a factory installed alarm system. Or had one, mine had an aftermarket alarm installed and maybe some parts of factory alarm system removed. I had to remove the bad aftermarket one and install a better one and that's when I found the factory system. The weird thing is that according the paperwork mine didn't have a factory alarm installed. It seemed to work about the same as the door key operated factory alarm in my 92 S2 coupe.

Immobilizers came with model year 1995, so competitions (MY 1994) don't have them.

Thanks for that. I will go out in a bit and have yet another look in the bloody dizzy. A mate is coming over with vag com and the 2+2 cables. If that does not help i have got another ECU to try as a last resort. I have not checked what nr mine is yet, but the one i got from the breakers is from a 94 80 avant with ACE engine, and mine is the same but a competition. Just hoping this borrowed one doesent have Immo either. Anyone know what nr the Immo box has got?

Yes. Flywheel is like that. Key is just a simple key that does not prise apart. I have got one of those two, but it only contains a little lightbulb and a button for the light.

Getting really pi553d off with this pipe of rubbish now. Tried two known to work coils and POS, no difference. Checked timing marks and when crank and cam wheel line up the 0 on the fly wheel is right at the bottom of the hole (which is near impossible to see) and as far as i understand that is correct. Cant find any markings on thi distributor, but it has not come loose so i wouldnt think it has moved. I can feel a little play in the dizzy shaft in and out, but not enough to get concerned. What am i missing? Why will it not spark or get fuel to the injectors? IF it would have a factory fitted immobilizer, i would think i should have a light in the cluster? When i lock it the Hazard button flashes... Thats all i know.

10v NF maybe. Relative to 10v NG.

Still cant get this out of my mind. If the ignition module/POS is gone, would that keep it from running the fuel pump when i turn the key? Parts for these cars are scarce where i live and as Dave has pointed out the POS/coil kombo on these are only from ACE engine and C4 V8,s i can get hold of a second hand unit tomorrow, but it costs 40 euros and is a non return item if it doesent work. Any thoughts before i through money down the toilet?

Yes I think Vagcom will work with the 2+2

Anyway according to that manual it looks like you can use Vagcom on it.
I will try to check the markings tomorrow.

Would VAGCOM work instead of the vag1551 tool? If i used the 2+2 adaptercables?

I don't think It should cut the fuel when starting. The fuel cut off happens when your lift off your foot from the gas pedal on gear so there's no fuel injected in to the engine when decelerating. I just mentioned it because even it is a mechanical injection system, it can cut the fuel if the pressure differential regulator is getting a wrong or no signal from the ecu.

I don't know if it lost spark when I had the lambda probe problem, I found disconnecting the lambda probe helped before I started to check everything else. But it didn't even try to start, so either spark or fuel or both where off completely.

Have you tried disconnecting the lambda probe?

KE-motronic has a fuel cut off feature for the overrun, it uses the pressure differential regulator, so it can cut the fuel out.

    Here's the factory manual for 6A/ACE KE-motronic.
Thanks for that mate. When you say fuel cut off valve for the overrun, do you mean while it is cranking on the key before it starts? Does it cut the fuel off while i turn the key? Did you loose your spark when your lambda went out?

I was thinking that it didnt run the pump until it sparkad, and with no spark it would not just full the cylinders with fuel. So i was sort of thinking it might be the coil or power output stage for the coil.. When i say thinking i mean i was hoping
