Sounds like it's going to be ABY with a chip then!
What's the ideal exhaust size for this setup? 2.5"? 2.75"?
Will a standard URQ clutch hold up ok with this or should I consider an alternative?
Would an RS2 EM make much difference on an otherwise pretty standard ABY?
Would there be much point in installing a 7A exhaust cam whilst I'm at it?
Thanks for the replies so far chaps!Leave a comment:

If you are asking yourself the question and do not use the car as an everyday driver, I think you are left with little choice but to find out for real.
Not sure what it will be but the next fun car I have will either have to be more powerful than the last or a s8!tload lighter, preferably both.Leave a comment:

Not sure about the 10v, but the ABY set-up doesn't weight much more than 7A for exampe - the only additional weight really is turbo, intercooler and oil cooler, plus DM flywheel adds a few Kg if you run it = around 18-20Kg, not a huge extra.Leave a comment:

I am in a similar position, running full RS2 spec and the car is very fast, probably fast enough I just keep getting the question pop into my head, "I wonder how fast 450 would be?"...Leave a comment:

Regarding the weight of the car, i'm curious to know what it actually weighs with a 20VT in it. My 90 quattro weighs 1210 kg. with only a couple litres of fuel in it, stock 2.2 engine but with ABS and catalyst.Leave a comment:

As above a good remap/chip set using the stock hardware will get you to 280BHP and be pretty dam quick in a 1200kg car. My S2 is a little over 1300kg's running full RS2 spec, so 350BHP ish and it's more than fast enough for day to day road use.Leave a comment:

Yes ERROR404 is right try standard ABY first. my 3b with chiped ecu is really scary to drive and the power engine produces is really impressive and scary in 1200kg car
