    92.8mm Crank for stroker

I'm starting to think about an engine rebuild and was thinking of going for more displacement.

I'm interested in a 92.8mm crank, specifically this one by FRP http://fourringperformance.com/crankshaft.php

What kind of displacement can I achieve combined with an 82.5mm piston with the stock block and what sort of rod length would be suitable?

I'm not very familiar with building engines so any guidance and advice would be great as there is no support for 5 cylinder Audis in Malta at all

    82.5/2 = 41.25
    (41.25^2 x 3.142)x92.8 x 5 = 2480cc ~ 2.5L

AndyP has built a striker with this crank, so check his thread out. To fit in a stock block you need either shorter rods or different pistons.

A stroker will require a new turbo and all the associated gubbins plus a custom map.

Andy's was a tall deck block if I'm not mistaken?

You'll need custom length non standard rods if you want to use standard comp height pistons, or you'll need custom pistons to use standard 144mm rods.

If you want to fit this to standart height block aan or 7a you need 144mm rods and 9A turbo pistons. We have all this parts pistons 82.5mm or 83mm Woessner.
All fits directly no modifications. PM for priceses.

The stock gasket can be modified to fit 82,5mm.

$3100 US for just the crank. Good luck.

That said, FRP = Jeff Gerner, the owner, builder and driver of the world's fastest sedan, a 92 UrS4 with 1039 hp. So that crank is going to be good.

                        No he didn't!

Mine was done with the AEL block and crank at 95.5mm. If you want to do it using the stock block, just get a 95,5mm TDi crank and save yourself $2500.
