    Walbro 255lph

    Hey guys!

Is this a real Walbro pump?
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-WALB...dU79DE&vxp=mtr

I'm thinking of swapping the fuel pump as well, since I've no idea how old is the pump in mine.

I bought a walbro, sold by holley from summit racing a few years back. the bits with the pump look like the bits I got.

having said that its hard to say. so many fakes of everything nowadays.

I bought 2 second hand 044's from a racing team wrc escort cosworth. never an issue with either. maybe another option. I don't think they run them for long.

Considering this seller has sold 279 items chances are good to be a genuine product.

Does the price seem correct too? It's pretty low compared to the prices of OEM Bosch pumps we have here.

It's an incredible bang for the buck for that money.

Well, this pump will never get even close to 044 performance. Price seems fair.

I know, but for my power target Walbro is more than enough.

The price does seem very low IMO. I tried two different Walbro pumps, mounted externally in my last car. I think I was lucky to get 15 miles out of both of them. Switched to a Bosch 044 and never looked back. Maybe I was unlucky and got them both from a bad batch but I personally would never soil my car with one again!

Bosch 044 then? Then I'll have to go through the basket & strainer change hassle...

My FPR will have to work like crazy then, since I won't use even close as much fuel as 044 can supply.

Brand new V8 basket i got from Auditradition website and i also got new banjo set to fit the 044 plugs. That's about it for upgrading to 044. Check out my car topic. I described every detail there. Otherwise bit noisy but i like the "psssss" sound. A funny thing happened the other day. While waiting at the traffic light, a driver on my right side warned me that i am loosing pressure from the rear right tire. When quiet outside you can actually hear the pump running.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Where can I get the banjo set?

I doubt that it will be louder than my exhaust or my music

Did you grind the pump like in this DIY - http://forums.quattroworld.com/s4s6/msgs/20355.phtml?

You could also try this pump:

I have it my 2,5 stroker running E85 in the tank. Very easy to make it fit.
