    Upgrading engine bay hoses

Has anyone uprated their hoses to aftermarket silicone ones? If so, who is best to use or avoid? I've seen some 'roose motorsport' ones available for the s2 b4 but wanted some advice, sorry if this has been asked a million times before[emoji51]

Roose or Samco are what you want. I have Samco boost hoses and Roose water hoses.

Superb thank you, have had some bad experiences with hoses with my old s3, so thought I'd ask before just buying! [emoji1360]

I eventually did all my hoses on the s3 before I sold it

There is an argument to go for Roose hoses... actually 2 arguments.

                Faster to arrive

Turbo hose is made with a Nomex layer so is likely to be more heat resistant than the Samcos...
Honda CBR 1100XX Blackbird Turbo....undergoing major changes.....
S2 Coupe... bit easier off the line...
'03 ZX12-R daily hack.... lots of nice bolt ons...

Is that nomex layer on all of their hoses? They do look quality compared to ones I've had in the past! And you do pay for what you get as well

Don't think they put Nomex on all the hoses...

The quality is really superb Having both Samco and Roose hoses on my motor, I know which I would use in the future... Roose...

Just treated myself to a full set of roose hoses to go on, not cheap but should be trouble free for a while now[emoji4][emoji1363]

Did you add the stainless steel clips? Well worth it if you didn't.

Flush the engine through with water before and after they're on, to clean out an old rubbish and make sure you use pink coolant.

Worth replacing the pipe at the rear of the block while you're at it. It'll more than likely snap when you take the hose off anyway Replace the thermostat while you're there too, if you can get to it.

Finally, inspect the auxiliary water pump housing (behind the radiator), as mine went brittle and snapped...
