    for the map sensor matter, I had some mechanical problems and for lack of ideas I played around 3bmap sensor and stock boost program, it gave smooth 1.5bar (I had of course fuel maps for the current setup)

      There are some scary chip around that shouldn't be. I'm just glad my old chips gave Mihnea a laugh, not a fright! I just looking forward to driving my S2 again. I've got an A3 to show who's boss.
      I had to get my ECU out of the bin again. Bitch!

        Not to be rude...

        but back to my question. The stock compression on the 93 AAN is 9.3:1 if I use the metal head gasket it should be 9.1:1--Right?

        @Mihnea would 9.1:1 be ok.

        If I wanted to lower the compression by .1 or .3 how much lower does the top of the piston need to be (from the pin to the piston top)?

        Thanx

          yes, peak is 1.4 and then it drops to 1 bar. car has free flow exhaust and cone filter, runs on 98 octane fuel. acoording wide band measurements the mixture is not lean at all.

          p.s. as i said this was made for experiment only and i showed this curve for everyone to see it, there is no need to laugh mihnea

            well, that "experiment" is still killing my 3B without success. And I can forgive that chip if there will be "big bang" - the power is impressive

            p.s. I am going to rebuild engine anyway

              Interesting that the code was "borrowed" for the Digitec chips never knew that.

                He is still running digitec. For a few years now. No problems after rebuild. Note, that Uu is running bigger IC than stock (maybe it's the key).

                When rebuilding engine, some detonation signs were seen on pistons, but only minor ones.
