I had this problem getting the power steering pump nut out, and so I eventually ended up using a metal punch tool with a lump hammer to 'drift' out the old one.

Did the same to install the new one, this method only left a small mark on the new nut.

This method tightens it enough not to leak at all, given the fresh rubber seal on it.

Roose must have misunderstood you as they made a black non shiny set of three boost hoses for me during the summer - UrS6 car. The non shiny version was a special order and took longer to arrive and cost a bit more.

    HTH.

Thanks Macspring. Have the Roose non shiny water hoses on my s2 and they look great. I'll get back onto them about s6 hoses. Ebay ones will prob be fine but might be going for more power next year so would like Roose or Samco if possible.

Over 215k on the S2 now

No decent photos recently, but if I have a working heater by the weekend I might go for a run and take a few

Got the x plug and seal changed with a chisel and big hammer There was definitely a leak here hopefully cured this now.

Removed the michelin man hose and it had what i would say was quite a lot of engine oil lying in it. Cleaned it all out so i'll run it for a week or so and then remove it again. No noticable splits in the hose so need to get boost leak test done as well.

Some additional infos about oil collecting inside the intake tracts,
for the stock power cars, these should be none or minimal oil
in case of pcv is working properly.for the chipped or heavy mods
cars plus spirited driving or driving in the counter clockwise course
,the oil will vomit due to the slosh effect since the breather
outlet on the valve cover is located at the lowest back of the VC.
chances you'll see the oil inside the intake either the car is occasionally
Running smoke out is normal.i always see 300cc motor oil
                inside the oil separator
when redline shifting on street race.please try checking the pinned post
on engine and turbo section or type "oil breather " on the search box.
a lot of oil split out threads was mentioned about.
