I had this problem getting the power steering pump nut out, and so I eventually ended up using a metal punch tool with a lump hammer to 'drift' out the old one.
Did the same to install the new one, this method only left a small mark on the new nut.
This method tightens it enough not to leak at all, given the fresh rubber seal on it.
Roose must have misunderstood you as they made a black non shiny set of three boost hoses for me during the summer - UrS6 car. The non shiny version was a special order and took longer to arrive and cost a bit more.
HTH.
