Cam sensor advice G40

After 18 years of posting on various UrS forums, I don't recall everything either and as a result, I document the living h3LL out of issues that I have dealt with (and often paid the price for ). My goal is to try and prevent people from making the same mi$take$ that I have.

To recall this info, I have this as my basic "crutch":

In addition, to help me find more info that I have documented somewhere in the 33,456 posts that I have made on the quattroworld UrS forum I also use this:

You can use this too (just change the subject to whatever you are looking for and hit your keyboard's "Enter" key, no doubt I have likely documented something about it, especially engine stuff).

I only come here (daily) to the S2 Forum to see if somebody could use my assistance. IF they do, and I provide some info, I have trust that they read it before making the next step in their work to find a cure for what ails their UrS (C4 UrS, S2, RS2). When they seem to ignore the info I provide, it provides less incentive for me to return to the forum.

(I've got a new project - 56 Dodge Custom Royal D-500 (315 cu in, 4 bbl hemi - 260 hp back when - so I can stay busy regardless)

Happy for you (that the G40 was the issue) but if you want help, you need to read the info posts that people (not just me) provide you with.

Dave, might I respectfully suggest that you need to start, even at this late stage, to be more tolerant of us mere mortals on here. Not all of us can be as 'perfect' as you are.

You need to relax and not get so irratated so quickly, it's not good for your health.


It doesn't help make you / retain friends on here or the other forums.

How to find documented UrS, S2, RS2 info

Not all of us can be as 'perfect' as you are.

Never said I was perfect. Far from it. Made lots of mistakes. Difference is when I figure it out, I document the issue and the solution and share it on at least three UrS forums so others can learn from my mistakes/experience. As a result, I find it frustrating that the information I provide to someone on their particular issue is seemingly ignored.

But hey, not a problem. I haven't got time to try to help you guys any more anyway. I'm having too much fun with the 56 Dodge and it is very needy.

In future, people can find the same info that I would have provided them two different ways

1. For the basic 20V turbo engine-related stuff they can go here:

I too am sorry how this has ended up...... is it really necessary to be so intolerant with something we ALL feel so passionate about..., I'm sure we all respect & appreciate the help, advise & expertise given by everyone, everyday on this site...

Agreed, I also have to learn to be more tolerant of the other drivers I come across everyday on the road, being a driving God myself.

Well Steve (orsum) apologized to me for seemingly ignoring my info post(s). I accepted his apology and was all warm and fuzzy and thinking that I would still show up here.

Then just now I get this as a PM:

I only think that I have documented more info about the UrS cars than anyone else and am very willing to share that knowledge, NOT that I am personally more superior in any way.

I don't want to be one to keep this going, but Derek my goodness that action / comment is not the sentiment that most of us on here would agree with / condone.



Respect and helpfullness for the common cause of maintaining our S cars should be our primary goal, and opionions of others are best kept to oneself if they are not positive as it helps no one - Only to give you some temporary feeling of satisfaction.

You obviously do not know Dave, he wil not let this go and he will outlast you.

If this cannot be sorted amicably maybe the Mods should consider locking this thread.
