    2.2 KV start issues

    Hello,

I have a great 2.2 KV engine in my Audi 90.
First i had a problem with cold start, it was running on 4 cylinder after i started it up. And sometimes if it was on temperature and you late it stay on his place for like 15 minutes it started really difficult.

    Now i have changed:
    Sparkplugs,
    Sparkplugcables,
    Distributor cap,
    Rotor,
    Fuelfilters,
    5 new Bosch injectors.

Now the biggest proper is solved. The coldstart is much better and it runs steadier.
But the day itself from the replacement the hot start was a big problem. It almost wouldn't turn on i needed to give full gas.
Now it is a bit better as then. but the problem stays. Now it starts inmedialletly but i looks like it is running on 4 cylinders at a low rpm 500 but if you give gas or let it be do for 5 seconds it is running allright again. If i turn it off and turn it back on right after it starts perfect.

It was also running a bit high stationary but i cleaned the ISV and it is better now.

    Thanks!

I would also check the accumulator it may not be holding pressure.

Could be a range of problems... Make sure firing order is correct 12453 check timing on flywheel by marking a typex dot on the flywheel and strobe it up to 18 degrees BTDC by loosening the distributor off and adjusting manually .Components such as the fuel distributor are probably getting tired as well as the fuel pump... Pull the plugs and see if any one in particular is 'Sooted up'...these engines generally 'crack up' first time - even after being stood for long periods... So the adjustments on the metering unit are probably 'way off'
