OK peeps just had issues with the MFTS now all fixed up with a new one and running great my question is this, can a faulty or on its way out sensor affect the general performance of the car aside from the 0.4 boost issue.
Car was OK and run 1.5 bar boost but performance felt less than it is now with the new one fittedStrange me thinks
The MFTS overheat signal disables the WGFV (N75)
When not disabled the N75 is actually opened to divert pressure away from the WG lower chamber at low RPM to help the turbo spin up quicker and make the car feel more responsive.
If your car was still boosting at 1.5 Bar though the N75 was enabled
This is what is a bit confusing it defo feels a lot better than it ever has so thought maybe although the N75 was working a faulty MFTS might interrupt but not stop the loop completely and affect running whilst still allowing full boost
Bought it on fleabay a few years ago as a spare I've got two old untested ones if you need one just couldn't be bothered swapping them in and out so fitted the new spare straight off
