Rs2 engine. Power potential on stock internals?

What sort of power/torque can be made on rs2 without changing internals?

And cab it be done using standard ECU? Can it be mapped to suit larger injectors/turbo etc

What turbos do people use to up the power?

    Engine is rebuilt. But stock.

    Just thinking

    Regards

No it's a perfectly sensible question, but i think it's been done before but still interesting
to see what the current train of thought is as time moves on. I'm all ears too!

i believe the stock internals can handle around 400-450hp if torque is not to high
a gt3071r is a popular turbo for this
there are a few forum members who can adapt a motronic ecu like "prj"

What sort of torque can be achieved without bendy rods?

              Is a gtx3071 a good option?

it depends on the state of the engine. if its not healty rs2 turbo can blow it up.
if your going to more power do the rods.

The engine is rebuilt and not been run. So like new. The engine is out if car. If rods r required I could fit them now. Can they be used with stock pistons. Or are aftermarket pistons also required. Any other engine mods required?

Keep torque below 600nm to avoid banana rods.

                      Turbo options aplenty

I don't mind changing rods if required. I hate having to hold back. I prefer turbo punch with a bit of a bang. And tbh a torque monster makes a car quick rather than power!

It can handle 450HP but you schould not have over 500NM under 3K. MAF will not last Long.

If the MAF is weeker than the rods then a MAFless remap to the motronic might be a good idea

Stock pistons will be absolutely fine for this power range.
