    MFTS coolant light help?

After some help from you, 2 years ago I fully re built I S2, engine, sunframes, everything. I remember putting a new MFTS switch on when I rebuilt the engine it can't done more than 2k miles since, the car has been stood a while over winter but I've been using it the last few days.

The switch was a genuine one from Audi and wasn't cheap, I have un plugged the expansion tank sensor and it went off for a while then came back on, I tried bridging these wires it made no difference so I left them un plugged.

I unplugged the MFTS yesterday and as expected I lost temp garage ect so I plugged it back in and it went off all day until this evening when driving home it came back on, tried unplugging it again and back in but no avail just the same came back on.

Has anyone got any ideas or can I alter the wiring from the plug to cancel the dash alarm so it just works when the expansion tank empites? Have a temp gauge so we will see if it's getting warm

To make it clear, you are struggling with the alarm for low level in the expansion tank?

Try giving the MFTS sensor a sharp tap with a socket extension bar or similar, there's a spring contact inside and sometimes a jolt will improve the contact, check the wiring plug for corrosion too.
