Is the upper crank vent pressurized doing boost leak test?
There is one that connects to the intake manifold and only allows air into the manifold and not boost out. It is used to allow the crank vent in the the manifold at low loads. At high loads it goes into the turbo intake.
The N80 valve is connected directly to the intake manifold, so no one way valve.
So upper and lower crank vent goes to a swirl pot and from there to a catch tanks that vents to atmosphere
PRJ mentioned somewhere that to test all the vacuum hoses, isv, etc connected to the manifold one could do a boost leak test from MAF hose and just block off wg pipe and pcv in maf hose.
However I just want to do it from TB instead, makes no difference.
So when I put pressure via TB into the intake manifold, then the following will happen that I know off:
1. Air will go through the connection to the N80 valve
2. air will go through all small vacuum hoses
3. air will go through isv
What Im not sure off is the following:
1. Wont the air just piss by the intake/exhaust valves?
2. Will air reach the upper crank vent?
