Of course it'll have a wastegate port on top of it, it should be ready soon anyway and I'll keep you guys posted on that ASAP!

kinda looks like freaky alien sex.

      a work of art nevertheless.
I chose not to choose life: I chose something else. And the reasons? There are no reasons. Who need reasons when you've got quattro?

I've asked for some infos about the header posted by Martynf.

in the meantime I have been quoted 1000 Euros for it, which is about the same other custom made tubular headers are sold.
Will wait for the technical specs.

                  Hehe...:nana:

I guess I should tell you guys that this turbo isn't mine unfortunately... I'm currently holding it for ransom from bigtoe, who paid an absurdly low price for it. I'm currently trying to see if I can swap it up with my OEM turbo, cleap up the old one and send it to him...hehe

What is it Mik? It says K26 but the coolant lines aren't in the same place as an RS2 turbo.

It was purchased as a k26 suitable for Audi/Porsche etc off ebay US.I payed $400+shipping (£256) for it as it looked like a deal that couldn't be missed. It is oil and water cooled.

Im still looking for a good S2 engine for my little weekend track car project. If a good audi lump doesn't turn up im going to have to rebuild the 2.2L pushrod single cam engine i have in their now to take advantage of this beast. It makes 187 BHP now on twin 45's NA, I would be moving to fully mapped fuel injection and Turbo. The engine already has steal rods etc so hopefully just a piston swap to lower the CR is needed on the internal side, i already think i have found some Saab pistons that should do the job.

Im also looking at making my own exhaust header and was hoping to have a go at the s2 one.Tig welding is one of my strong points and it looks like i have sourced the correct grade tube and bends etc to cope with the heat. All I need now is the correct dimentions for the primaries and i will give it a go.

Cost more in custom pipe work for the water and oil feeds than to buy a real rs2 one!! Only about £400 for one of them.

                        Oh and its too small

I'm sure I have read the the K26 that is fitted to a Porsche 944 (is yours that one?) is not much better (if at all) than a standard S2 one.

If that's the case, I don't think it'll matter much since it's definitely better than what he has now....which is nothing...

That turbo unit was fitted to the original 200 turbo (engine code WJ > '83) and early Ur quattro (engine code WR > '84) They were all oil cooled, I have one in my grubby mitts at this very moment, the customer wants his engine rebuilt ('83 200 turbo!)
