I made a few years ago and all i used was 1/4 gauge 2" box section with a notch cut out of one side, then to get a snug fit weld the piece you cut out to the opposite side of the box section (opposite side to the notch). Then all i used was a large spanner over the box section resting on an axle stand so all force was going not into the engine and mounts but onto the axle stand. Then a 3/4 torque wrench set to 450 Nm and a bit of medium strength locktite on the threads. After the *uck up last year to bad workmanship which cost 10 new valves and over £1000 quids worth of damage and cost, and 4 days lost out of my holiday entitlement. I wasnt taking any chances.

The top end of the tool fits in the pulley, and then the bottom rests on an axel stand that you place in front of the car (hence 45 degree angle cut on bottom of tool).
