    Seeing as we had a RS2 cross member in today (not every day that happens at £800 each!!), thought I'd snap a couple of pics of it. One interesting thing I noticed when moving it about was that the IC tube inside was loose, IE not fixed and also it was made of plastic!!! Kinda resembles the Plastic top pipe posts a while back about plastic and less heat soak.

          The SFS silicon hose mod would work a LOT better on this than the stock S2 pipe which is curved where the top clip goes. Trouble is, this X member is just way too much money! shame...

              Could you not modify the bracket on your crossmember and send that out by mistake - they would never know

              I didn't think mine was plastic - maybe it's just the newer ones?
              S2,RS2,S4 WB,RS4,S4 B8,RS6 C5,RS6 C6,R8

                On a more serious note, mine has got the plastic tube instead of metal.
