    OKI some great news

The N75/WGFV valve is dead, i tried putting 12V on it and nothing happen i then did the same on an old n75 valve that i had and then something happend. So ordered a new N75 valve today.

Anyways after i pulled of the connection on the N75 valve it and drove with it, it gave me this fault code:

01262 - Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
02-10 - Signal Shorted to Ground - Intermittent

    What does this mean?

Hehe oki guys sorry for that one, i kinda figured that would be it

          But can a bad N75 give a 00544 fault?

Try doing an output test, amoungst other things it will tell you if your N75/WGFV is really dead.

Well nothing happens when i apply voltage on the valve, so yeah iam pretty sure it is dead.

And if N75 is dead, then boost pressure is determined by WG spring - hey presto 0.4bar

Sounds like you might have found your problem !

I will check mine, when I will get new spark plugs. With current ones, 0.4 bar is more than enough ... However in my 3b there are loads of things to check (and to fix) yet ...

Yeah i hope so Paul, but can a dead or dieing N75 valve cause the 00544 fault code i mentioned in another thread:

00544 - Maximum Boost Pressure Exceeded
                    06-10 - Signal to High - Intermittent

I thought we discussed that yesterday - it was your leaking check valve causing excessive unmetered air to be inhaled by the engine.

I don't think that N75 stuck in the OFF position would cause this fault code...

Lets make it clear. N75 has two states: open and closed:

                        - if N75 is stuck open - it lets the boost into WG bottom chamber. Therefore WG opens when boost at 0.4 bar. No boost, no ECU errors. Boost control is done by WG spring.

                        - if N75 is stuck closed - it DOES NOT let the boost into WG, so NO BOOST CONTROL by ECU NOR WG spring!!! WG will open only if there will be very high backpressure in the exhaust system (unlikely). Stock 3B ECU will do cutout at about 0.8 bar (0.825 ?). The 00544 (or in blink codes, 2224) error will be stored.

                          Paul;
Nah i dont recall any leaking check valve, i wrote:

                          Oki thx alot AHH!

Seems that boost leak would not becaused here unless it is not working and something is leaking in the diff vacuum equipment
                          To Uukrul:

So what your are saying is, that if the N75 would get stuck in closed position i could get a cutoff and fault code. Bacause what happend lately when driving was that i got the cutoff and then afterwards i could not get over 0.8-0.9 bar. I then had to turn off engine.

Well change that N75 valve today and everything works again

But i think i will try to move the N75 valve away, since it is located in a bad spot.
