What is this valve and what does it do? Can it be broken and cause airleak?

Where do the pipes that run into and out of it go?????

Well the pipe connecting in the bottom comes from the IM, the pipe in the top goes to the right in the engine bay and then disapears into the chasi around the windows washer container. Then there also is a pipe going downwards cant see where it connects.

Looks like a one way valve to me. Allows vacume to be used from the engine and stops boost + fule contaminated air getting down to what ever consumes from the pipe?Money is everything! Second to Power of course!!! But money breeds power??Comment

does it go to the diff as like a pressure regulator so you dont kill the actuator on the diff lock with too much pressure

Yes it does.
Diff lock, climate control etc vacuum only equipment.
It's a check valve.-Comment

You could start your own thread about this and not write in this one.
However you could get a RS2 intercooler from a audi dealer or you could get a tuning company to fit you.
