I have been asked to investigate a lack of performance problem on an old K plate 80 1.9 TDI and I have noticed the WGCFV is permanently clicking with the ignition on and/or the engine running. Drives like it has no boost (not checked but stands to reason with the clicking in my mind?) which makes it unbelievably slow!
Cant read the ECU because I need a genuine Vag-Com interface so I am in the dark a little? He managed to get the ECU read a while back and this is what was found:
00552
VOL AIR FLOW VAF SENSOR G19, INTAKE, EGR SYSTEM HOSE CONNECTIONS. WIRING TO SENSOR
00523
INTAKE TEMPSENSOR
00519
MAP TO WASETGATE REGUALTING VALVE HOSE CONNECTIONS POOR CONDITION WIRING TO MAP SENSOR ECM UNIT.
Problem is the guy that read the ECU says his system cant delete the DTC's so I have no idea how old or relevant they are?
Any ideas please?
