Thats when you hear that ace chattering noise Its when the blades of the turbo stop turning during gear changes.

          Thanks guys!
Compressor stall does put strain on the shaft and thus the nut. It can make the shaft unstable. So for my own sake I'm putting on the big Tial BOV.
In the rally era of audi they didn't had any Bpv/bov fitted to the cars. Neither on the pikes peak and trans-ams. But then again those guys were driving with some serious heel and toe shifting techniques. And were replacing turbo's every race.

          Lets hope this works........

Pistons are fine, apart of some scratches on the top.

I had a KKK (cheap) K27 turbo on and doing 1.6 bar of boost. The twist in the shaft made the nut come loose as well. This was with a Bailey BOV. Bought a BB Garrett instead. Same BOV and it runs fine with 1.8 bar now. Done 30000 km. So I think U run too high boost for your turbo. Wich one is it BTW.
I´ve also just mounted the Tial and it stinks. It´s way too big for my 450 bhp. I´m going back to my Bailey....

Hmm thats interesting...... To be exact,
                    k27#7 hotside
k29 coldside housing with a 3072 compressor wheel. Its doing 2/2,2 bar and 1,7 @ redline. The boost peaks at 3800 rpm. I hear nothing but good news on the tial BOV.
I now have the nut loctite'ed like the pikes peak had and the Trans-am. So hopefuly it will stay on.
The characteristics were great when it drove. We were very pleased with the results. Our butt-dyno indicated that we passed the 500HP line.

                    Cheers

Well, I was pretty happy with the K27 setup. Had full boost @ 3000 rpm
The nut on mine was Loctided as well. If U are doing 2.2 bar U should be over 500 bhp.
About the Tial. I know a guy with a Skyline doing 850 bhp that tried large BOV´s. He´s now running a 30 mm BOV as his best result.
                      Good luck with your project.
