How to undo nut on WG shaft inner cup?

    Need a little help

I am going to change the WG membrane tomorrow.

However I am still a little confused after reading different thread's about how to do this.

I have read that the problem is undoing the nut (RED ARROW) since the shaft just will just.

Someone mentioned using a air tools and holding on the inner cup (Yellow arrow?).
Is this correct that i can undo the nut by holding where the yellow arrow points?
If yes, how about when i have to tighten the nut again?
If this is not correct, how do i then undo the nut without taking off the WG.

    Hope that someone can help.

You've pretty much got it. Care is needed so as not to gouge WG housing or the membrane frame. IF in any date, then just remove the WG from EM and use an allen key in the WG valve to hold it in place.

But can you tighten it when done using the method i described?

If i remove it from the EM, do i then need new gaskets where WG connects to EM?
Or perhaps there are not gaskets?

Is straight forward to remove WG or do you have some good hints?

          Thx for fast reply paul
