My mirrors need paiting and i need to remove the glass and well dismantle it as much as possible.
It is electrical mirros.
Anybody got some BTDT or howto guides online? Anything would be very help full.

I have replaced the mirror glass 6 or 7 times on these cars (the S2 is my 4th coupe) and only broken it once - the first time.
Basically, the glass is a push n snap fit onto the motor mount and must therefore be pulled forwards away from the housing to remove it.
To do this without breaking the glass, use something wide, thin and soft to lever all 4 sides gently to start to loosen it. I work around a few times building up the pressure until it pops off. I use a wooden spatula...except the first time when I used a srewdriver and broke the glass
2nd tip - If doing this whilst mounted on the car, put something soft underneath and stand infront of the mirror, so that when it pops off and you fail to catch it, it does not smash on the ground.
Cheers n
