@fish - did you have any luck getting pictures, I did have a look at a genuine grille today and how its fitted on so have a good idea how to sort this but interested in what way you've gone at the problem

I'm sure some sort of cut-down bulldog clip mechanism would do the same job, also came across similar tinnerman option used for securing carpet/trim to metal edges in car/vans etc

posted this a while back, always meant to try and post up a few pics, found some of them today with one of the original clips as a reference, pics aren't great but give you an idea, I'm no metal worker, or cnc guru but I can bend pieces into these shapes or easier go out and get the bigger version of these carpet/plastic trim pieces and modify them or am I missing something here

im also interested.. i have the grill and the mesh but no clips to hold it together.. also where can i get the audi rings are they specific for the rs2 grill or i can just order them from audi?

Clips will foto later (this evening) and gives you a numbers. They are different from all other Audi.

The info is the FA is rubbish I'm afraid Steve.
It shows a generic grille picture, part numbers for things are missing (through all the RS2 years 94, 95, 96) and two very vague pictures of the clips you want. Again, no part number are even listed for them.
