    S2 vs RS2 grille question..

    Hi.

i have the rs2 grille on and some want it bad, and as i am coverting back to OEM grille style i can sell it.
BUT, what is the diffrence on these to in mounting? is it just to unscrew the rs2 grille and clips on the s2 grille?
I noticed there was some holes back on the s2 grille but not on the rs2 one?!

i can always damage the thing by myself but that would be stupid to do that and not to ask you guys first. (yes i know this isnt level 5 hard work to do)

That i'm trying to say is, do i need the same clips for the s2 grill as for the rs2?

    cheers,

    Anders

The quick answer is no you dont need the clips for the S2 grille, you need 6 bolts, washers and clamping plates to hold the original grill in place. What are you reverting back to the original?

    HTH,

        Hi Anders,

Fair point. I've got and RS2 grille myself. No, you need the parts numbered 2,3,4 and 5.

The OEM grill is a lot nicer than the RS2 one...

there are two tipes of oem grilles. the older is shown in the etka pic, that has carriers also on the top of it. the newer ones just snap in at the top, and screws at the bottom. the change was made y. 94 i think.

Mines a late 93, and the grille has holes both on the upside and the downside of the grille. so then it must be the old one

I currently have a bid on 125,- € so beat that if you want it.
it's painted blue in the list though..

                        cheers,

Anders: if you have 6 holes, you need numbers 15,16,17. 15 is what holds the grille on, 16 and 17 is the screw and the metal ring for which i dont know the engilsh translation.

No, i got 7 holes! 3 on top and 4 in the bottom.

                              so i orderd 15,16 and 17 x 3
                              and 2,3,4 and 5 x 4

So lets hope that does the trick!
can't wait to get the OEM grille on!
