Fog lights

Just a quick query for you guys with 1995 or later S2's.

Which foglights lenses are the correct ones?

The versions with the vertical lines all the way across the lense, or the versions with the clear square just in front of the projector ?
I think it's the second ones, but not 100% sure.

I can't get my head around the chassis number listings in the FA and can't find any pics close enough to tell.

Want to get these sorted as the ones I have now are very pitted and I don't want to buy the wrong ones
Ana1 I know, but it's show season and want these along with new door/cill rubbers all the way round and new front bumper grilles.

Mine have clear square where the projector is and the rest has vertical ribs on glass

Mine is a later '93 ABY though. Door sill rubbers are different on 3B and ABY too

Thanks Greg. I would go and look at my Bro's if I could pin him down for more than 2 mintues
I know some might be thinking why not just order the same as you have, but then I've a secondhand bumper and lights etc after the incident last year.
I have the wrong ones on now, so will get the new ones ordered up pronto

Hmm, a head scratcher for sure this one.
Finally managed to get hold of my bro and he has the clear window ones (95 Coupe)
I also managed to find a close enough pic of mine before I bumped it, and it has the clear window ones too

I think we need "Parts Daddy" to help here.

May all sound a bit daft, but the ones on it now really are heavily pitted, so I may as well get the correct ones whilst I'm on

cos i just went outside and looked, and i could see lines all the way across my fogs but in this pic it looks as if there is a clear window over the projector!

Mine was built in Oct/Nov '94, sold '95 and also has the vertical lines all the way across, as do the indicators, so they match.

.....except that the fogs are glass...why did they use glass for the fogs and plastic for the indicators? They don't quite look the same side by side and that bugs me

Think I'm getting to the bottom of this now.

Also found this thread here that confirms the type with the clear window are the later ones, which tallies with what I used to have.

I've also noticed with the ones I have in now, that they sit back slightly from the indicator, which they didn't do before.

Yep, seems I have the earlier ones. Just spoken to a mate with a 3B and those above are in his too.

So, clear window ones will be getting bought next week along with new bottom door/ rear quarter rubbers and two new bumper grilles (already have a new nearside one).

ive got the ones that you have fitted at the mo jas, mines an early 91 3b so yes looks like they are the older type....i like the look of the newer type though
