it's because the front bumper grates over the front wing like sandpaper and because of that the galvernised layer comes off

Avant wings are different to Coupe I think... Will get mine from VAG Parts, but thanks.

Aye, Avant / B4 saloon have different wings to Coupe - mid trim line / recess is not the same...

The Avant / B4 saloon front wing differs where the trim (with "Audi" logo) fits. The Coupe has a completely different trim, and the wing is recessed to accept it.

Avant / B4 saloon wing trim is either like the RS2 (thin type) or regular 80 B4 / S2. The wing does not have a recess, more of a faint swage line to accept the different trim.

if £147 each, I'd not think twice about genuine galvenised wings.

As a URQ owner I can tell you it's not amusing when Audi trippled the price of the URQ wings last year curently getting on for £600 each from main dealer esp as I need 2

Irvind, wow that's bad. But....

I have a 1990 CQ and a 93 90 sedan both with absoluteley no rust what so ever. And I live in the snowbelt of the
USA with salt being used as a de-icer. It looks like to me that either the car has had shabby body work done or
the inner liners have been compromised or removed completely. That kind of damage I've seen on 4 yr. old
Hondas and Toyotas but never on Audis!
