  • Aero wiper blades- replacement blades

Anyone know what model the Aero wiper blade kit for an Avant uses?
Obviously complete kit was bought from VAG parts prior to me buying the car but now i just need to change the blades themselves.
    Guessing Lupo or similar??
    Any ideas.

    Cheers Pete.

Is the part number not on the blades? It would be unusual for VAG if it isn't.

Yes. They are Bosch and from a Lupo.
The part number is on the underside of the plastic centre on the blade. Audi P/N and Bosch P/N, take your pick.

Not sure but VAG parts list the coupe kit and the avant seperate and they are a different price so me thinks they might be different.

I was sure they were different too. Otherwise I would've posted my P/Ns up, instead of making Pete look for his own.

Yup, but it gets a little confusing, so here goes.

The part numbers I have on the receipt are "6X2 998 405" but if you were to order this, you'd get the arm "and" the blade.
The blade on it's own is "6X1 955 409A" (RHD Lupo left hand arm) You need two of these.

The early VAGParts kit came with 2 x lupo arms and blades and one longer passat blade. Hence I have one short blade as a spare. I think the kit now comes with exactly what you need, nothing spare, as per what my bro got when he oredered his set.

As for the difference between the Coupe and Avant, I didn't realise this.
I apologise, I'll get me coat and exit stage left <<<<<

Although there may be a way out if you've bought some Coupe ones.
Sell the Avant and buy a Coupe to put them on. Problem solved and you'll have a cooler car to boot
