Removing UrS6 avant window trim

Hi guys

One of the things on my long list for the S6 is removing the exterior metal window trim to be replaced or at least repainted

Whats the best method to remove these without causing damage/braking clips?

From taking these off old cars in the past I know just how brittle they can be!

As a side note
Does anyone have a set of good condition trims for an avant? Just incase mine break or are too far gone (Assume theyre the same across all models?)

Hi Max,

I think the metal window trim is fixed with rivets, so you would need to drill to take them out.

please make some pictures of the process. I have the same question for the rear side windows (trunk window) on a RS2, which is not metal trim but plastic
