siV6Qcoupe looks excellent that. Been wanting to darken my rear lights for a long time, tempted to get a set of coupe lights to do it on.

Does the light still penetrate thru the rear lights all right?

      cheers

The light penetrates through the dark tint no problem at all

The brake light unit was a universal one from a motor store that you're supposed to fit to inside a rear screen but I modified the mounts and sealed it up with silicone to make it waterproof for use outside the car

          Doug,

The vehicle building and use regulations state that a number plate must e visible from behind the vehicle at a distance of I think 40 feet. ( this came up in a car magazine article about frenching (hiding in a deep bodywork hole) number plates.

I saw at a car show yesterday some number plate lacquer which doesn't allow cameras to flash at them.

Cheers David - I have had this idea for a long time and I hope to implement my rear angled no. plate with bodywork lip sometime soon.

              Doug,

what you need is an LCD panel over the number plate which is photo re-active.

It goes black when exposed to a flash or bright light, this is to protect the plate from Fading!
