    Removing weight

On a drag strip I remove seats and the spare tire. I already had A/C removed before. With this setup the car is about 1360kg.

What else is relatively easy to remove/replace?

Run with the minimun of fuel you can get away with...or install a seperate small tank for race days.

      The passenger seat!
Only one bolt to remove it, if you have never removed one before you will be surprised at how heavy they are

Edit: Ignore me, I didnt read your post fully

        So we have:

        - Seats (around 25kg all together)
        - Spare tire (around 20kg)
        - Air Condition (40kg)
        - Minimum fuel

What else can be pulled off form standard car.

I'm running a 18amp, 5.5kg battery. Saves more than 10kg compared to a stock sized battery.
Started right up after sitting in -20 degree temperatures for close to a week. Was utterly amazed by that
Have also replaced the aluminum spare tire well cover with one made from high density styrofoam. Saved approx. 3kg

Are you using stock wheels or larger aftermarket wheels?

A set of smaller wheels or just the lightest type you can get will always provide benefits - especially on the dragstrip.

If you've got bigger brakes it might not be possible (bigger brake discs would also be a bigger weight penalty)

On top of the suggestions above you could lose the middle box on the exhaust system or ideally replace the the whole lot as the standard system weighs a lot. Aux rad, rear wiper and washer bottle, sound insulation, headlight washer's and bottle, carbon canister and stereo. That just of the top off my head I'm sure there is a fair bit more if you really put your mind to it.

Martyn f did quite a bit of investigation about the weight of the wheels, i've been trying to find the thread with his info think some bbs wheels was lightest?

Dash weighs a bit and you can remove the glovebox/under steering tray

Saving rotating weight will have the greatest impact. The further from the center the weight is removed, the better. Saving 1kg from the outer diameter equals close to 2kg of static weight. Increases with distance from center to the second power. Save 1kg at r=1/2 equals 1.25kg of rotating weight.
In other words, lightweight tires are more important than light rims.
My RS2 came with 18" Turbo Cup (by Mille Miglia) rims for summer use. Sold them and replaced with stock 17" Cups with Conti Sport Contact 3's. The weight saving equaled close to 30kg of static weight.

Agree with EspenW completely, rotating mass, inertia - which is why it's important for the drags (change from static car to moving), but it's important for everything to do with a moving vehicle - changing direction or speed, left or right, faster or slower.

Wheels wise, I found a site that had most wheels and weights, here. The superleggeras that I have are amonst the lightest. You can notice the increase in acceleration.

Reduce the rotating mass of everything and get the engine balanced so it revs better. Get a relay and wire it up to disconnect the alternator on full load so that there is minimal drag on the pulley, remove the rear carpet, door cards, trim, seatbelts, wiper and washer bottle, drain the front washer bottle... etc. etc.
