    Matt Black?

My poor old coupe is really beginning to look a bit rough with numerous scratches, dings etc.

Shame really as it used to be in very good condition and its really only gone downhill since its been sitting around for a fews years used as a weekend car only.

Anyways I saw a link to this thread over on AudiSRS.com about matt finish paint jobs and I am begining to think I might give it a go.

Opinions welcome, the link is HERE

You may laugh, but painting a car with a roller has been done, and is very easy to do....

Its a long thread, but a very good read!

It's not for me, but I can "see" the attraction. I suspect you would still need to really look after it though. I *think* scratches may show up MORE in satin paint....

Are you sure you want Matt and not satin?

Would look great IMO but it mighr date quite badly like lemon yellow, lime green and purple did from the 70's...

The odd carbon detail with satin or matt lacquer would set it off a treat.

Yeah I was thinking that, maybe a carbon bonnet and those carbon B pillars.

In my reading up about this last night I saw somewhere that a matt clear coat would need to be applied over the matt/satin paint. Does that sound right
