IMVHO, the splitter will only look good if the car is really slammed. Otherwise it is going to sit too high and look silly....

I am loving the look of the 80 Competition touring car and that was the look I was after with my old '80 here:

Is it just me or does this B4 shape have classic potential or what ?

Ever since the arrival of its replacement in the form of A4 and all its derivatives thru B5-6-7... sure they are safer and higher technology but they often look so dull, bland and unattractive. Thats not true of the entire A4 family of course - the S4 has some appeal at least - well the older ones for me anyway in the visual department.

On the sports suspension, with the right wheels - no bling or fancy spoilers required, the B4 quattro saloon just looks 'right' - if that makes sense...

And just the other day I saw an 80 cabrio parked up beside a 1yr old A4 cabrio - and it wasn't the new car that looked the most appealing. There is more character or substance about the shape of the B4 versus the more modern cars - probably a side effect of so much computer assistance in the way cars are designed now for safety and aero - they all end up looking the same shape, with 'styling' stuck on top to make us think the cars are different.

They do need lowering on the right rrms though, as you say.

I would love an S2 Saloon on some BBS wheels and Coilovers....

Don't know if any one is after the competition bumper lip spoiler but I know that Will at VRS has one or some for sale.
