I haven't done them yet but they will be getting the same treatment. I think the C-pilars are fixed in place? If not I will take them off and do them and if they are i will done them on the car.

Just been looking on eaby and it seems cheap,so i'd be carefull whern ordering it.

In the thread I posted up there is discussion relating to the different brands and different ebay suppliers as there is varying quality as Lee says, also some of the stuff is not designed for exterior use.

Been sitting on this stuff for a while since my friend showed me it (he wraps the rally cars for m-sport) it looks very real and i was impressed with it. Ive covered my small arch trims on my mk2 with it but im gonna chuck a coat of lacquer over mine to give it the look of the resin that seals real carbon in.

this is some motorbike parts he has done.
As for people buying of ebay beware this is not a cheap vinyl not sure on the 3m stuff but this is the 7year vinyl can't remember the name but it begins with a H and cost £600 for a proper roll of it (1m wide stuff on a big roll)

Curious what is the finish like on the carbon once applied, is it smooth or rough, ie can feel the weave?

Vagonly-are you leaving the vinyl as is or going to laquer it?

**** me. I'd not seen this thread.
I've put a film over my B-pillar trims the last couple of days.
The stuff I used is what I got an age ago to do my dash trim in project sooty.
It's made by 3M and seems like the stuff linked to above on that evo forum.

Great stuff, a hairdryer is your friend. Heat up, mould around and let it cool.
Has a textured feel to it.

I can get access to loads of the 3M stuff for a lot less than the ebay sells.
If anyone wants some, let me know.
